The Meseházikó Guest House:
Lake Velence is the third largest lake in Hungary with an area of 26 square kilometres. It is 10.8 km long, and its width varies between 1.5 and 3.3 km. The Lake is centrally located, lying about half way between Budapest and Lake Balaton. It is called the sunshine lake as there are 2,050 hours of sunshine here each year. It is no wonder that pleasant beaches bustling with life have been created along its grassy shores.
The Meseházikó Guest House, whose name means fairy-tale cottage in Hungarian, is in a quiet, green street in Agárd, just 800 m from the shore of Lake Velence.
If you like fresh air, nature, and peace and quiet, and enjoy waking to the early morning chirruping of birds, you should come and see us and spend a few tranquil days here.
The Guest House has 4 rooms for people coming for a rest. We can provide accommodation for a total of 10 people (2+2+2+4). The Guest House’s attractively furnished rooms have comfortable, modern furniture and are practically equipped for everyday living.
PRICES IN THE FAIRY-TALE GUEST HOUSE:
Early season: from 1 January to 31 May
15 EUR/person/night (with tourist tax)
High season: from 1 June to 31 August
17 EUR/person/night (with tourist tax)
Late season: from 1 September to 31 December
15 EUR/person/night (with tourist tax)
Tourist tax is due on private individuals who are 18 or over but not older than 70 years old and who are not permanent residents and spend at least one visitor night in commercial or private paying accommodation within the territory of the local government.
Discounts
Accommodation is free up to the age of 3 and there is a 50% discount for children up to 8.
In the early, high and late seasons there is a 5% discount on groups of 8 people staying for at least 3 nights.

RELAXATION, SIGHTS:
Forest Park, Agárd
Just 500 m from our Guest House are the sports facilities of the Forest Park, where you can enjoy playing tennis or football in a beautiful natural environment. The 7 clay courts surrounded by trees offer unclouded relaxation for tennis fans. The 1,250 m long circular running track takes runners through the clean woodland air. For families with young children there is a friendly little playground.
Medicinal and Thermal Baths, Agárd

Géza Gárdonyi Memorial House, Agárdpuszta
The Hungarian writer Géza Gárdonyi, renowned for his classic historic novels, was born in Agárd on 3 August 1863. The copies of manuscripts and photos exhibited among period furniture give an insight into the great writer’s life and work. Gárdonyi, who was originally called Ziegler, adopted the name of the neighbouring village, Gárdony.
Brunswick Mansion, Martonvásár
The mansion received its current form when it was rebuilt in the neo-Gothic style in the 1870s. The irregular ground-plan and large arched windows of the one-storey building together with its slim towers, buttresses, pinnacles and battlements create a truly romantic ambience. Székesfehérvár
Székesfehérvár is the county town of Fejér county, lying 10 km from Agárd. The town justly attracts tourists with its 1,000 years of history. Its old cobbled streets, charming cafés, many historic monuments, splendid baroque and neo-classical buildings and churches, its statues and art treasures enchant visitors.
